Tree Removal

Cut tree to the ground, chip all the brush and haul it away, and haul all the wood, and leave the area clean and clear of tree debris. We use several techniques to remove trees; we sometimes climb the trees to remove them if no equipment can make it to the tree, use a bucket truck, and sometimes we use a crane – especially on large trees. However, there are different options available for what we do with the tree material. Sometimes customers want the wood chips from the tree, so we leave them. Other times customers want to keep the wood for firewood.

Tree Installation

Dig appropriate size hole – proper depth and width; place root ball in hole with basal flare just above ground level, ensure tree is straight up-and-down; haul away excess dirt, grass, rocks; haul away transplant debris (burlap, twine, root ball cage, etc.); Leave area clean and clear to enjoy the beauty of your new tree.

We only plant trees in the spring (March, April, and May) and fall (October, November). No Summer or Winter planting.

All trees are sourced from a local nursey, whose tree farm is located in Milton, KY – so all trees we install are Kentucky grown.

We plant bushes, arbor vitae, and trees. The trees we install are typically 2” caliber and stand 6’-8’ once planted. However, we can install smaller or larger trees based on your desire.

Cabling

We install high strength steel cables, if the situation is applicable, to provide additional strength and safety of the cabled tree. Not all trees and not all situations require a tree to be cabled. However, if the situation is applicable to cabling we will bring it to the customers attention.

Tree Evaluation & Risk Assessment

Most of us probably see at least one tree every day. But how many people really understand what a tree is ‘telling’ you? With our decades long experience of observing, studying, an intimately working with trees we have an in-depth understanding of trees and their tell-tale signs of decay, disease, loss of structural integrity, and overall health or decline of the tree. So if you have a tree in question, please contact us to schedule a tree evaluation and risk assessment. It’s usually free!

Storm Damage Clean-Up

Living in the Ohio Valley means we have big, beautiful trees and big powerful storms. Sometimes the two do not go well together – the incredible storms of 2023 come to mind. Not to fret, Arbor Essence Tree Care has you covered when it comes to storm damaged trees, wither it is taking trees off houses or buildings or removing broken/hanging limbs, or any other  storm damage incurred to your tree, storm damage is top priority and will always be taken care ASAP.

Hedge Trimming

We trim and shape overgrown and unsightly hedges and bushes to the specifications and shape the customer desires. Boxwood bushes, for example, are commonly used as hedges and even a stand along bush, and oftentimes they get overgrown and unsightly. We can trim and shape the hedge or bush back to its intended aesthetics.

Stump Removal

Remove the stump by grinding out the stump 6”-8” below grade. The stump grindings can be left in and around the hole. Or the stump grindings can be hauled away. On smaller stumps, the grindings are typically left because it’s a small amount. However, on larger stumps I recommend hauling the stump grindings away because of the quantity of stump grindings.
